Owls
It was a beautiful day for painting. I wanted to add a dash of fall in preparation for back to school night. That Artisit Woman's oil pastel and water color owl project was just the ticket. (Especially since many of the kids are excited about the new Legends of the Guardians movie that opens this weekend.)
I got the idea to make these work boards from her too. They have made painting with thirty kids so much easier. The boards keep the desks clean, they hold the paper flat, they keep it from blowing away....
and they make for quite a nice hallway gallery too.
Hope you have a sunny weekend!

The look great! I love how each owl looks so different. I just managed to do the fall trees project on That Artist Woman with my 3 year old and 18 month old...modified a little...but I love her projects. And I'm definitely going to get myself some of those boards too. They're awesome.
What a cool teacher!! Great work by the kids too.

Wow~ These are your students works? I love them! They are such a great collection. I wish there had been an arts and crafts club when I was in school. :)
Oh I'm coming to LA. I'll be at the Terranea Resort for 4 days. My husband is a big cheese at his company and it's a rewards retreat! Any advice on how to dress for the weather? We'll be there 10/20 - 10/24. Thanks!
