WIP- A Burlap Wreath

Burlap Wreath

I have been playing around with a burlap wreath tonight. None of it's glued down.

I really love this wreath on Tatertots and Jello.

Fabric flowers are fun to make too!

I have no idea where I am going to end up with this wreath, but I'd like to show you where I started.

Necessity isn't the only mother of invention. Being deeply cheap is a pretty great foundation for creativity. There were no wreath forms of any kind at my dollar stores. I don't have a Walmart or Hobby Lobby and Joannes wanted more than $3 for something I know everyone else can get for a buck! So I procrastinated knowing that I could come up with something using the stuff I had at home. Turns out all I needed to do was use my noodle!

Use your noodle. Cracked me up. The wreath is awesome! I am making one tomorrow. Those damn pool noodles are only sitting there mocking me this time of year anyway! Love that burlap flower at the top. Is it folded/quartered circles? Great idea.

Yes the flowers are both two layers of four circled folded in quarters and tacked down.

A pool noodle--I never would have guessed! Brilliant!

I LOVE how the burlap looks made into flowers, especially alongside the blue fabric one. Nice contrast in textures. Great idea for the scrabble letters, too!

That is adorable! Love it!

Oh what a good idea to use the noodle (literally!!! HA!) as the wreath form. That would be perfect to use since you wouldn't actually have to glue anything down - great for quick changes! And a little lighter to hang too!

Might have to try this myself!

Hilarious! Lol at none of your ideas being "glued down." Love the scrabble welcome too.
