Love this! I have refurbished a really old handmade kitchen and thought of making one, but without a jigsaw wasn't sure how I could do it. Now, I know!!!

I've gotten started on the stockings for my two youngest. Thanks SO much for the suggestion about sneaking the gifts. We're totally going to do that. I think I might try to do this as well. I'm just beginning my search for a nightstand (my in-laws might have something) But I was wondering what a recommended width might be. 20" (what I'm finding for nightstands) seems so narrow to get a sink and stove on it.

Stephanie- I sure hope you check back here. No, not all my play kitchens are solid wood. They all have wood in them, but you would be surprised how furniture that looks good on the outside is really a wood frame with particle board, laminate or sometimes plastic stuck to it. Also, I do not do a lot of sanding. Actually very little. If you find a laminate cabinet, it will work!

Cute stocking! That reminds me I need to get started on mine. We decided before we had kids we want to emphasize the religious part of Christmas as much as we can instead of Santa Claus...so our Santa stockings have Nativity Characters on them...but I haven't made them for my two youngest yet.

I really love your play kitchens and have been searching the good will weekly for the perfect cabinet. I have seen a couple but I was wondering if all of your base cabinets are real wood? I have seen a ton that are pressed board/laminate, but they won't work with all the sanding right?!
